Neon, 78-metre superyacht by T. Fotiadis Design, at her waterline
Neon, profile rendering

Superyacht design, drawn to be built.

Exterior and interior design for superyachts 65 metres and above. A studio in Berlin, with a German shipyard behind every line.

I

The line

Every yacht begins as a drawing.

Ours are drawn with the hull, the decks and the people on board already in mind.

II

The form

Then she takes shape.

Hull form, weights and stability are worked through with naval architects before an owner sees a final image.

III

The water

What is approved is what is built.

Design by T. Fotiadis. Validated by Astra Nord.

IV

At sea

Neon, 78 metres.

Designed in Berlin. Planned for construction at Astra Nord in Germany.

Known to the people who build and run yachts.

T. Fotiadis Design is a Berlin studio for the exterior and interior design of superyachts above 65 metres.

Theodoros Fotiadis entered the yacht industry in 2003. For almost two decades his drawings went into yachts across Northern Europe under other studios' names, by arrangement and by trust. The owners, captains and shipyards who worked with him know his hand. Since 2013 the studio has worked under its own name.

Behind every rendering, a yacht that can be built.

Fine images are easy to find. What matters is what stands behind them. For every design we present, that work is already done.

General arrangement
Every deck drawn to scale: owner and guest areas, crew circulation, service routes, tenders and toys, resolved before the styling is final.
Naval architecture
Hull form, weights, stability and propulsion developed with naval architects on a proven platform, from the first sketch.
Class and regulation
Classification and yacht codes are read from the first line. Rail heights and canopy proportions are drawn, not corrected, so compliance never costs the yacht her line.
The people
Engineers, project managers, procurement and site managers who have built superyachts in Northern Europe, committed to each project.
The shipyard
Astra Nord, for new builds in Germany and refits across the Mediterranean.
Technical specification
Dimensions, tonnage, accommodation, machinery class and flag readiness, documented for each design.

Design by T. Fotiadis.
Validated by Astra Nord.

A shipyard ready for every design.

I founded Astra Nord so that every yacht I design has a German shipyard ready to build it. Each design is checked against the build before it is presented as final, and one line of responsibility runs from the first sketch to the sea trials.

New build. Superyachts from 65 metres, built in established facilities in Northern Germany.
Refit. Refits across the Mediterranean, with Athens as a base, and in Northern Germany.

Theodoros Fotiadis

From napkin sketch to realisation.

Three companies, one founder, one line of responsibility. None of them supports the others; each lives within the others. The studio draws inside the yard from the first line, the yard sits at the drawing board from the first line, and the image is made by people who were in the room. Connected, the three are stronger than any one of them alone.

Our clients are introduced.

We work by word of mouth, with people we know and trust, and they with us.

That is how this studio has always grown: one yacht, one owner, one introduction at a time. If someone has mentioned our name to you, we would be glad to hear from you.

Our work has been published by Forbes, Robb Report, SuperYacht Times and Boat International. In the press
